Talia Korman – Occupational Therapist
Occupational Therpaist Bsc Hons
Talia qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2004 from Brunel University in London and is a registered practitioner with the Health & Care Professions Council and British Association of Occupational Therapy.
She has spent much of her career working with Adults with Physical Disabilities and Care of the Elderly, within the NHS and Social Services. In 2011, Talia set up her own private Occupational Therapy practice.
Talia takes a keen interest in paediatrics and in 2012 completed an intensive course with the National Handwriting Association. Since then she has successfully trained many children who have experienced challenges and difficulties with their handwriting. During this time, Talia became increasingly passionate about the impact of day-to-day living with children and adolescents suffering with Hypermobility Syndrome.
Her aim is to help overcome difficulties in everyday life caused by having hypermobility, with particular focus on the maintenance of hand functioning and pain management by developing a child-centred graded exercise programme.
Outside of work, Talia enjoys spending time with her four children, cooking, reading and running.
