Sara Levy

Sara Levy is a qualified physiotherapist with over 25 years’ experience working as a physio, from orthopaedic surgery recovery and sports injuries to hypermobility in children and young people. She has a background in dance and at Sutherland House she offers treatments to all age groups, including Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Pilates, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage as well as Hypermobility sessions one-to-one or for small groups.

Qualifications and Experience

In 1992 Sara qualified as a physiotherapist from Kings College Hospital and worked for the NHS for 10 years in many of the leading London hospitals. Sara then worked at the BMI Hendon hospital for 16 years before coming to Sutherland House and has over 25 years’ experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions covering all age groups.

Specialisms

Hypermobility
Sara specialises in hypermobility syndrome in paediatrics and adolescence and works closely with Dr Nathan Hasson (Consultant in Paediatric Rheumatology specialising in hypermobility) and his team at Great Ormond Street.

Deep Tissue & Sports Massage
Whilst working in the NHS with consultants in rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery and in treating sports injuries, Sara worked with both the local rugby and football teams. Her high level of experience in deep tissue and sports massage allows her to offer this to patients at Sutherland House.

One-to-One Pilates
Sara has a background in dance and is passionate about Pilates and often applies Pilates exercises and core strengthening in her treatment plans.

Home visits
Committed to every patient, Sara also can offer home visits to patients and visit elderly relatives in residential homes in the local community
